We’re Lys & Nina, two Dutch creators who have traveled the world, but no matter where we went, Ericeira always pulled us back. The ocean, the salty air, the slow mornings with pastel de nata… We dreamed of living in a place where productivity is replaced by daydreaming, where you wake up and decide what you feel like doing—surf, dance, read, nap, skate, volleyball, climb, make new friends, or all of the above.

Back in the Netherlands, we built successful businesses, but you know what we were missing? The sun. The ease. The feeling that life isn’t just about “what’s next” but about “what’s now.”

So we did what any mildly impulsive but wildly passionate people would do: we took the leap. We packed our bags, bought a one-way ticket, and took over Ocean House.
